Dear Central Family,
Our children's Mother's Day musical "The Slingshot Heard Around the World," under the direction of Stephanie Hiatt, was a smash hit! When we put our trust in the Lord, God deals with the "giants" in our lives and gives us victory. What a reassuring message for us during these challenging times.
Don't forget that tomorrow we have set apart for fasting (as you are physically able) and prayer. Our prayer and praise service begins at 6:00pm and will be a powerful time as we focus our prayers on outreach events that will impact our community this summer. Communion will be served. Please come and join us for an hour of powerful intercession...prayer changes us, then it changes the world!
Thanks for your faithfulness to the Lord and to His church!

Annual Business Meeting
Notice is hereby given of the Annual Business Meeting of the members of Central Baptist Church of Sioux Falls, South Dakota to be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 6:30pm in the Worship Center at 3102 West Ralph Rogers Road,Sioux Falls, South Dakota 57108.
Business To Be Transacted
1. Receive reports from Church Leadership;
2. Approve 2012/13 Budget;
3. Consideration of unanimous recommendations from the Board of Elders to continue the realignment with our purpose and additional emphasis on the "Go" part of our purpose;
4. To ratify new board/committee chairs and board/committee members; and
5. Approve minutes of previous business meetings.
The Elders are required to review and approve all matters to be submitted to the congregation except membership items (Bylaws: Article VIII, Section 2b, "Decision Making Policy").

Help Serve Dinner at The Banquet, Tuesday, May 22 – We need 2 volunteers to prepare the meal starting at 2:00pm. We need 17 volunteers to serve the meal at 5:15pm. You may sign up Sunday morning in Grand Central or contact Yvonne Otten at yotten@q.com or 371-2221 if you are able to help.

Women’s Bible Study - Ladies mark your calendars and invite your friends to Central this summer for "Wednesdays with Beth" featuring Beth Moore. You will be encouraged and inspired through her biblical teaching! These four different DVD sessions are free of charge and open to woman of all ages and all backgrounds. No homework, no discussion, just spend the hour filling the spirit through Gods word. Offered two different hours: 6:30a.m. OR 9:30a.m. Wed. May 23rd, May 30th, June 13th and June 20th. Global Leadership Summit - Once again this year Central will be a Satellite Host Church for this premiere leadership event that will inspire you, challenge you and encourage you as you seek to sharpen your abilities to influence your relational world for the kingdom of God. The Summit is not just for those who hold some formal leadership position but for everyone who wants to be able to lead where God has placed them more effectively. Bible Life Camp (VBS) Training – If you are planning to volunteer for Bible Life Camp, please plan to attend a group guide training on Sunday, June 3 at 9 am in Red flag room.
Summer Fun
Children who attend Central Baptist Preschool & Kindergarten Summer Fun will explore summer-related subjects, such as the beach, fishing, bugs, camping, water fun, watermelon and ice cream! They will also enjoy exciting learning centers, sing-along time and Bible lessons. Outdoor water fun will help them cool off during hot summer days. And fun, theme-related snacks will round out a great morning.
Summer Fun is for children 3, 4 & 5 years old. Previous preschool/large group experience is required for 3 year olds and all children must be potty-trained. Each Summer Fun session meets for three consecutive weeks on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
